1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of fgpaws.com and any purchase you make from us. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.

We may update these terms occasionally. The version live on the site at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order.

2. About the business

FG Paws is an online retailer of dog products, operated by Justin Sterrenberg as a sole trader registered in Portugal. We sell to consumers across the European Union.

3. Products

We describe every product on the site as accurately as we can. Photography is supplied by the manufacturer or shot by us. Colours may vary slightly between screens. Sizing is provided by manufacturer specifications, supplemented by our own size guidance — but no two dogs are the same, and we recommend reading our size notes before ordering.

Stock levels shown are accurate at the time of page load. If an item sells out between your order and our warehouse picking it, we'll contact you within 24 hours to either substitute, partial-ship, or refund — your choice.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for stock errors, payment issues, suspected fraud, or breach of these terms. Where we cancel, we refund in full and promptly.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in Euros (€) and include VAT at the applicable rate.

Prices are subject to change without notice, but once you've placed an order, the price you saw is the price you pay — we don't change it retroactively.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination. We charge our real shipping cost, with no free-shipping threshold.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. We accept your offer when we send the order confirmation email. A contract is formed at that point.

If we're unable to fulfil the order — for stock reasons, an obvious pricing error, or suspected fraud — we may decline. In that case, we refund any payment in full.

6. Payment

We accept payment via: - Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) — processed by Shopify Payments / Stripe - PayPal - Klarna (where eligible — pay later / pay in instalments) - Apple Pay / Google Pay

All payment processing is handled by certified payment processors. We do not see or store your full card details.

7. Delivery

See our Shipping Policy for full details. Briefly: - All orders ship from our partner warehouse in the Netherlands - Typical delivery: 2–10 business days depending on destination - Shipping charged at cost by destination, with no hidden padding - Risk of loss passes to you on delivery

If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us within a reasonable time and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

8. Returns & refunds

See our Returns Policy for full details. Briefly: - 30 days to return unused items in original packaging - We pay return shipping on faulty or wrong items; you pay return shipping on change-of-mind returns - Refunds within 5–10 working days of us receiving the parcel

This 30-day policy is in addition to your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, which you can exercise without giving any reason.

9. Warranty

Products are covered by their manufacturer's warranty plus your statutory rights under Portuguese consumer law (typically 2 years for products that are not as described, fit for purpose, or of satisfactory quality).

If a product fails within its expected lifetime, contact us with photos. We'll work with the manufacturer to refund, replace, or repair.

10. Account responsibilities

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

11. Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to: - Use it for any unlawful purpose - Attempt to break, probe, or interfere with the site or its security - Place fraudulent orders or use stolen payment information - Scrape, copy, or republish content without permission - Send abusive messages to our support email

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site if you breach these terms.

12. Intellectual property

All site content — copy, photography, design, branding, the "FG Paws" name, the "Tested by Freya · Approved by Griffon" stamp, the "Letters from the Silver Coast" mark — is owned by FG Paws or used under licence.

You may not copy, redistribute, or use any of this content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Personal use (sharing a product link with a friend, screenshotting a journal article) is fine.

Product images and manufacturer-supplied content remain the property of those manufacturers.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or a product purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for: - Death or personal injury caused by our negligence - Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation - Anything that cannot be excluded under EU consumer protection law

We are not responsible for how products are used after delivery. If a product is misused or used outside its specifications, we have no liability for resulting harm.

14. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — including but not limited to weather, strikes, customs delays, carrier failures, pandemics, or warehouse interruptions. Where these affect your order, we'll communicate promptly and offer reasonable remedies.
